 "A clove a day keeps the doctor away"... or makes a doctor?! When interviewing Bob, we asked him how he got his love for garlic. "In the summer of 1949 my cousin was staying with my family and he came down with polio. For the rest of that summer, my mom fed me a mayo, lettuce and garlic sandwich every day for lunch! My cousin vowed that if he recovered, he would become a doctor. He did." He chuckles. "I picked up the love for garlic and the ability to grow garlic, garlic in the garden,and experiment with different varieties better than anyone!"  |
